My Choice Health Insurance was founded by Emily Ima, a black woman that understands the importance of affordable healthcare. Emily began her journey into helping the underserved black community obtain health insurance after going through her own lifelong personal trial of navigating the healthcare system. Emily was born with sickle-cell disease which is primarily a black disease and is often not treated properly which can lead to episodes of extreme pain and hospitalization. Having access to an experienced specialist doctor, having the proper medication, and having routine checkups has allowed Emily to completely improve her health. Emily prayed for her own healing and this blessing led her to start her journey of helping individuals obtain affordable health insurance.
